    Pediatric Pelvic Health

Kids have pelvic floors, and need pelvic floor therapy. Often kids who need pelvic floor physical therapy present with urinary leakage during day or night.

We help kids who leak due to constipation, and other reasons.

We help kids who are constipated to regularly use the bathroom. We help kids stop wetting during the day or night. We help kids understand that wetting the bed is not their fault and gain confidence that they can stay dry.

    Postpartum Physical Therapy

Pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery are natural life experiences that your body is prepared for, but it is a lot of change in a short time.

We help you enjoy a smoother recovery postpartum by helping you relearn to move without pain or leaking urine, even as you become more active with your baby, work, other children, exercise, and whatever other activities you want to do long term. You should be able to participate in the activities you love while feeling strong in your abs and pelvic floor, and experiencing no pain or leaking urine. We help you do just that.

  • Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

We treat it all! Low back pain, pelvic pain, hip pain, incontinence, pain with sex, chronic pain, weakness, pressure “down there” and constipation are all common complaints, but none are normal. All too often, people are told to just deal with symptoms related to pelvic floor dysfunction, but we help people like you every day.

While you are unique and your symptoms and story are yours only, our therapists are specialists with enough experience that we have seen and helped other clients like you.

Testimonials

Working with Liz was a wonderful experience. She combined her extensive expertise and experience with my body’s capabilities and my comfort level to design an individualized routine. I always felt cared for, comfortable, and motivated in that process. I have seen immense improvement in my strength and a growth in confidence in my body’s capabilities, thanks to Liz. After having 10 years of issues with an unstable pelvis (resulting from pregnancy, birth, and childcare of 3), I once again feel strong and am participating in activities I had stopped (like running). I am very grateful to Liz, who made this healing process possible and so positive. I am excited to live a more active life with all the new, valuable awareness and knowledge I have gained during our sessions.” Erin C.

“Dr.Uttech listened well, tailored treatment to my needs, was responsive, accessible, compassionate, honest, knowledgeable, and flexible in her approach to treatment. I'm grateful for the wealth of her expertise and care.” Peggy S.

“New Journey Physical Therapy provides top notch physical therapy services. Liz and Kate are very knowledgeable, caring and effective. Can't recommend them enough!” Anonymous

“Liz was amazing she treated me as a person not just a patient. She really got to know what the issues were and concentrated on them as they sometimes changed. I was embarrassed of my condition so was embarrassed to get treatment for years. She made feel so comfortable and made me feel normal.” Carrie G.

Being pregnant with twins really weakened my core. Being a chiropractor, I definitely felt the weakness adjusting patients. What also surprised me was having pain during intercourse because I had a C-section and not a vaginal birth. I always thought that painful intercourse came with vaginal births and not a C-section. Either way, I have felt a difference in my core strength and intercourse is much better. Dr. Kate takes the time to explain everything and the "how" and "why" we are doing certain things.” Emily R.

“Dr Kate provided excellent care across all of my needs as a patient. She could always offer helpful advice and a wide variety of treatments and home exercises to help with any pain I was experiencing. I would highly recommend her to anyone. In addition to her extensive experience, she is also very organized, always follows up as needed, and runs right on time.” Anonymous

I looked forward to my sessions with Dr. Nadia Ori. She was easy to talk to and really helped me feel stronger and more like myself again after the birth of my second child via c-section. I only wish I had sought out postpartum physical therapy sooner, rather than waiting until I was in pain due to muscle weakness.Anonymous

“I loved working with Liz. She listened to my needs and goals and help me get back into my normal routines after childbirth. I felt very comfortable with her.” Elizabeth

Working with Kate has been so critical for my postpartum recovery. Kate helped me be physically ready to resume my normal activities but she also helped me be more confident in my new, post-baby body. I'm really grateful for Kate's support...my only wish is that I had known about her during my pregnancy and started working with her then!” Courtney S.

“Dr. Kate is incredibly patient, gentle, and knowledgeable. We did a combination of in-person and Zoom sessions and I always felt safe knowing that she and her staff are taking the pandemic very seriously for everyone's safety.” Catherine G.

“As a first-time mom, I was blindsided by unexpected mobility issues and pelvic pain postpartum. New Journey PT knew exactly how to help me get back in my feet - literally! They have supported me every step of the way. I cannot recommend them enough!” Sarah U.
